A Visit of Delegation from Sojourner - Douglass College (USA)
to Mekong University
On December 17, 2012, the Delegation of Sojourner - Douglass College (USA) including Mr. Charles William Simmons, Ph.D., Rector; Ms. Vanessa Annette Brown, his wife; Mr. Richard Samuel Freeman, Ph.D., Vice Rector in charge of International Relations paid a visit to Mekong University and met its leaders.
Representatives of Mekong University consisting of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, M.A., Vice Rector; Mr. Phan Van Sam, Ph.D., Deputy Director of the Center for International Training; Mr. Dang Van Toai, M.A., Acting Head of the Office of Academic Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Lan, Vice Head of the Office of Personnel and Administration, and officers from the Offices, Centers related to training warmly welcomed the delegation.
During the meeting, the Delegation of Sojourner - Douglass College (USA) was introduced an overview of the history, training domains and disciplines, joint training activities of Mekong University with domestic and foreign universities. Then, the two units made specific plans for joint training programs and conducted to sign a memorandum on the joint training program for branches such as Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Technology, Bachelor of Banking and Finance, and Master of Public Administration (MPA) in the near future.
After the meeting, leaders of Mekong University invited and introduced the Delegation of Sojourner - Douglass College about some places in Mekong University: administrative campus, blocks of classrooms, labs, computer rooms, workshops, equipment, and facilities of the university.
