CENTER FOR APPLIED INFORMATICS
Center for Applied Informatics, under Mekong University's direct control, was founded in May, 2009 pursuant to MKU Rector's Decision. The center is authorized to offer training courses and issue Informatics Certificates, level A and B according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. It organizes teaching, confers certificates for special subjects on Applied Informatics.
1. GENERAL OPERATIONS
The center’s duties are to offer lectures and foster knowledge of informatics performed by experienced officers and lecturers in the university.
The center gives lectures on informatics to learners to meet the increasing demands of diverse learners. The center has also expanded the bilateral cooperation with centers and universities in Ho Chi Minh City to open some classes of Accounting, Office Secretary.
2. PRINCIPAL AND REGULAR ACTIVITIES
The center frequently organizes classes of informatics, level A and B; Misa Accounting Software, Basic Auto Cad, 2000 Sap Software, Basic Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Accounting Secretary, Chief Accountant, Knowledge Improvements on Special Subjects…
To facilitate learners’ studying, classes are open in the evenings during the week and on Sundays, and learners can choose the suitable time for their study.
3. THE TEACHING STAFF
The center has experienced officers and lecturers. In addition, it has invited some lecturers from other centers in Ho Chi Minh City to assist in teaching.
The center is equipped with facilities to meet the needs of training, scientific research for officers, lecturers, and learners. Currently, the center’s main office is located at Mekong University (National Highway 1A - Phu Quoi Commune - Long Ho District- Vinh Long Province).
The center has been allowed to use a classroom with 30 learners. The center is also equipped with two projectors and 30 computers.
