Center for Vietnamese Language Training for Foreigners was established under Decision No. 25/QD-ĐHCL dated May 16th, 2019 of the President of University of Cuu Long and assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to train, evaluate and issue Vietnamese Certificates for Foreigners according to Decision No. 808/QD-BGDĐT dated March 19th, 2020 of the Minister of Ministry of Education and Training.
The Center is one of the seven Vietnamese language training organizations in Vietnam and is the only one in the Mekong Delta region assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to train, evaluate and grant Vietnamese certificates for foreigners.
Since 2015, the Center has trained and granted certificates to more than 140 international students from Laos and Cambodia. Some colleges and universities in Vietnam also send foreign students to University of Cuu Long for Vietnamese language training.
In particular, various organizations in Laos and Cambodia annually send their officials or students to study Vietnamese at University of Cuu Long including:
+ Ministry of Science and Technology of Laos
+ Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos
+ Departments of Education and Sports of the southern provinces of Laos
+ Colleges in the South of Laos such as Hoa Sieu Technology College and Southern Finance College.
